ToMB-Tale of Malifaux Bloggers Month 0 Post

So I’m part of this Merry Band of Bloggers doing some beginner posts in the style of the Old GW Tale of Gamers series. So I have 60 bucks to spend to start this shindig and I have to first decide on what Crew I’m doing.

Well she is a master I have always admired in the fluff and have always wanted to play but had not picked her up in 1.5. She lives now in the snow capped Mountains and her tenuous grasp on reality and her turbulent relationship with Arcanists really made the choice easy.

If you haven’t figured it out by now I’ve picked up Rasputina and her Children of December Box set. I have assembled and primed these bad boys pictures coming up in the post.  That took 45 of my $60 dollar starting budget, this budget assumes you have already gotten a rule book and your arsenal deck for your selected faction. Those two items are either 8 for an arsenal and $15 for a mini rule book (recommended) or 8 for an arsenal and 40 for a big rule book. The only differences between the 2 rule books is the big rule book has all of the wave 1 models in it with fluff. The mini rule book has all of the game rules in it and is a more convenient travel size.  So I’ll have $15 dollars extra to add to my next month allowance of $25.

So why Rasputina, why her as my master choice besides the obviously amazing fluff. She is a living battle cannon that’s why. Dropping blasts from 22″ away onto the faces and heads of my enemy is 2 good to pass up. So I’m starting off with Raspy and I’ll be going indepth about her in future posts. When and why I have purchased what I have and show casing battle reports with her and her crew.

Next Post will go over painting her boxset the color choices I’m making and why, and Well have a look at her 2 limited upgrade modes and when and why you would use each in her boxset form. Looking forward to leading you all up the Ice Mountain and remember December’s embrace is only cold till you accept it.
